About Dudinka
Dudinka is a town on the Yenisei River and the legitimate focal point of Taymyrsky Dolgano-Nenetsky District of Krasnoyarsk Krai, Russia. It used to be the administrative focal point of Taymyr Autonomous Okrug, which was merged into Krasnoyarsk Krai on January 1, 2007. It was built up in 1667 as a winter settlement related with Mangazeya. In 1930 it was alloted the legitimate point of convergence of the Taimyr Dolgan-Nenets National Region.
In 1935, the polar voyager Otto Shmidt endorsed that the settlement be wandered into a town. By 1937, the port workplaces and a railroad to Norilsk were done. Town status was permitted in 1951. Inside the structure of administrative divisions, Dudinka fills in as the legitimate point of convergence of Taymyrsky Dolgano-Nenetsky District. As an administrative division, it is, as one with five rural zones, united inside Taymyrsky Dolgano-Nenetsky District as the region town of Dudinka.
As a city division, the region town of Dudinka is combined inside Taymyrsky Dolgano-Nenetsky Municipal District as Dudinka Urban Settlement. Dudinka frames and sends stack through Norilsk railroad to the Norilsk Mining and Smelting Factory and besides conveys non-ferrous metals, coal and mineral. In 1969, the Messoyakha-Dudinka-Norilsk vaporous petroleum pipeline was laid. Dudinka is a port in the lower ranges of the Yenisei River, open to seagoing vessels. The town is served by the Dudinka Airport.
