Chegdomyn

Chegdomyn is an urban locality and the administrative center of Verkhnebureinsky District of Khabarovsk Krai, Russia. The agreement is located inside the Bureya River basin, just north of the Baikal-Amur Mainline. A branch line connects Chegdomyn to Novy Urgal on the BAM. It is located in the valley of the Chegdomyn River, near its confluence with the Urgal. Chegdomyn is positioned about 340 kilometers northwest of the krai's place of work of Khabarovsk. It was founded in 1939, with the start of black coal mining inside the place.

At the same time, production of a branch line from the Trans-Siberian Railway at Isvestkovaya to Chegdomyn turned into started, even though it become dismantled during World War II and its tracks reused in creation tasks closer to the front. After the quit of the struggle, the railway become rebuilt, establishing in 1951. Coal mining resumed in 1948, and Chegdomyn turned into granted urban-kind settlement popularity in 1949. The settlement's primary enterprise stays coal mining by way of Urgalugol, now owned by means of the Siberian Coal Energy Company. There is also a few wooden manufacturing in the surrounding region.
