Babayevo

Babayevo is a town and the regulatory focal point of Babayevsky District in Vologda Oblast, Russia, situated in the south of the region, on the Kolp River Volga's bowl 246 kilometers west of Vologda, the authoritative focus of the oblast. It was first referenced as a town in 1545. In 1882, a metallurgical plant, which delivered broadcast wires, nails, and snares, was manufactured here. In June 1918, five uyezds of Novgorod Governorate, including Ustyuzhensky Uyezd, were divided from to shape Cherepovets Governorate, with the authoritative focus in Cherepovets.

In 1925, Babayevo was allowed town status Within the system of managerial divisions, Babayevo fills in as the regulatory focal point of Babayevsky District. As a managerial division, it is consolidated inside Babayevsky District as the town of locale criticalness of Babayevo. As a metropolitan division, the town of region criticalness of Babayevo, together with four rustic territories in Volodinsky Selsoviet of Babayevsky District, is fused inside Babayevsky Municipal District as Babayevo Urban Settlement.

There are two dairy plants, an electrical building plant, and a furniture manufacturing plant in the town. The town is home to the Babayevsky District Museum, which opened in 1978 generally because of the endeavors of Mariya Gorbunova, a neighborhood instructor and later the leader of the nearby training division. She turned into the principal executive of the museum. The historical center presently is named after her.
