About Assumption Cathedral

The Assumption Cathedral in Omsk is one of the biggest chapels in Siberia. Its whimsical plan of numerous shapes and hues uses a plenty of components from the Russian and Byzantine medieval engineering vocabulary. The primary square of Omsk takes its name from the church building. The primary stone of another congregation was laid by Tsesarevich Nicholas amid his trip crosswise over Siberia in 1891. A Pentecostal plan was dispatched from Ernest Würrich, a trendy planner situated in Saint Petersburg.
The church was consecrated in 1898. It was closed down after the Russian Revolution and was exploded in 1935. The Russian Orthodox Church had the building modified to Würrich's unique outlines in the mid 21st century. The admirers from all finished Siberia go to the congregation keeping in mind the end goal to revere the relics of Bishop Sylvester, a Kolchak supporter who was martyred by the Bolsheviks in 1920. Visitors come to visit this church from all over the world with their friends and family members. You can also come to visit, explore and experience this place more.
