Amur

Amur is a city in Khabarovsk Krai, Russia, situated on the left bank of the Amur River in the Russian Far East. It is situated on the Baikal-Amur Mainline, 356 kilometers upper east of Khabarovsk. The city and its rural areas extend for more than 30 kilometers along the left bank of the Amur River. The waterway now is up to 2.5 kilometers wide. The separation to Khabarovsk, the regulatory focus of the krai, is 356 kilometers; to the Pacific Ocean, around 300 kilometers.

The closest other significant town is Amursk, around 45 kilometers south. It is around 3,900 miles 6,300 km east of Moscow, and lies at the eastern end of the BAM Railway. Amur is an essential mechanical focal point of Khabarovsk Krai and of the Russian Far East. It has an enhanced economy where machine building, metallurgy and timber ventures dominate.

The city's most eminent organization is Amur Aircraft Production Association, Russia's biggest air ship fabricating venture. It is among Khabarovsk Krai's best endeavors, and for a considerable length of time has been the biggest citizen of the territory.
