About Valea lui Mihai
Valea lui Mihai is a city in Romania. In 1312, beneath Charles I, it changed into allowed new trade privileges after which in 1459 was also allowed tax advantages privileges for its citizens. Later it was part of the Ottoman Empire, which led to its depopulation, but the inhabitants eventually back. Thereafter, it changed into part of the Habsburg Monarchy up till the Austro-Hungarian Compromise of 1867. Then it have become a part of the Kingdom of Hungary inside Austria-Hungary.
After the breaking-up of Austria-Hungary in 1918/1920, the metropolis have become part of Romania. As a end result of the Second Vienna Award it became part of Hungary among 1940 and 1945. Since then it's been a part of Romania. It became d a town on 3 separate activities: in 1844, 1930 and 1989. It is positioned round 66 km north-east of Oradea, 9 km from the Hungarian border in Bihor County, western Transylvania, Romania.
