Valea Argovei

Valea Argovei is a commune in Calarasi County, Muntenia, Romania, such as the villages of Lunca, Ostrovu, Silistea, Valea Argovei and Vladiceasca. At the quit of the 19th century, the commune changed into known as Obilestii Noi, it turned into part of the Negoesti net of Ilfov County and it consisted of the villages of Buzoeni, Orasani and Obileştii Noi, with 1688 inhabitants, residing in 314 houses.

There were a water mill, a church and two schools in the commune, and the principle landowners have been the heirs of Prince N. Bibescu. Obilestii Noi comprised the villages Obilestii Noi, Valea Capitanului and Vladiceasca, plus the hamlets Orasani, Buzoieni and Parliteni, with 3153 population. The Obilestii Vechi commune become fashioned from one village and its population changed into 1124.
