About Urziceni
Urziceni is a municipality in Ialomita County, Muntenia, Romania. It has a population of approximately 15,000 population. It is a medium-sized town whose primary sports are agriculture and offerings. By the stop of the 19th century, Urziceni had the status of a rural commune, composed of the Urziceni fair and the village of Cotorca. The commune became the house of the Plamen of Ialomita County.
Urziceni had been the residence of Ialomita County, being called the headquarters of the Chair, till 1832, while the residence of the county moved to Calarasi. The commune had a total populace of 2279 inhabitants; there have been two faculties 2 churches both in Urziceni relationship from 1828 and 1861 respectively a steam mill, a health facility, a pharmacy and a telegraph and submit office.
