About Tulcea
Tulghes is a commune in Harghita County, Romania. It lies in japanese Transylvania. The community of Tulghes developed after the seventeenth century, especially within the nineteenth century while there was a alternate inside the nearby Transcarpathian roads. At the quit of the 18th century, the Priska Pass was once the gateway for travelers by means of foot and horseback. The authentic customs and quarantine workplace turned into on Mt. Priska Piricske among Putna and Belcina. Those coming from Gheorgheni used to climb up Mt. Tatarul and then descend thru the Putna Valley, and, through Tulghes, arrived in Moldavia.
The Transylvanian checkpoint at Priska moved in 1806 closer to Gura Putnei in Tulghes, at the same time as the Moldovan checkpoint moved to Prisecani 1792. The populace flood from the Mures corridor Romanian and Szekely and from the Bistrița Valley took over the prevailing Romanian population in Tulghes. The name, which comes from “Oak Tree” after the o.K.Forest located on the southern slope of the foothills of the Bistrița Mountains in the direction of the Bistricioara Valley, became modified to Tolgyes while beneath Hungarian rule. However, it turned into later renamed Tulghes after the Great Unification, just like Rezu Mare Nagyrez, Pârâul Mărului Marpatak and Gyergotolgyes, etc.
