Timis

Timis is a county of western Romania at the border with Hungary and Serbia, inside the historical region Banat, with the county seat at Timișoara. It is the westernmost and the largest county in Romania in terms of land region. The county is also a part of the Danube–Cris Mures Tisa Euroregion. This county has a complete area of eight,697 km² 3,6% of Romania. It is the biggest county in Romania. In the jap extremity are the Poiana Rusca Mountains from the Western Romanian Carpathians group. Elevations lower to the west, passing thru the Lipova Hills to the Western Romanian Plain, the jap part of the Pannonian Plain.
