About Tamadau Mare
Tamadau Mare is a commune in Calarasi, Muntenia, Romania, which include the villages Calareti, Darvari, Plumbuita, Sacele, Seinoiu, Tamadau Mare and Tamadau Mic. It is 35 km east of Bucharest and 70 km northwest of Calarasi, within the north of the Mostistei Plain inside the basin of the Mostiştea River.
At the quit of the 19th century, the commune was known as Tamamadu-Darvari, it become a part of the Mostistea internet of Ilfov county and it consisted of the villages Darvari, Tamadau de Jos and Tamadau de Sus, with 1176 population. The commune had 3 churches, a blended school, a steam mill and water. At that point, on the modern-day territory of the commune, in the Negoiesti locality of the same county, and Calareti-Seinoaia commune, with the villages of Bratasani, Calareti, Pitisteanca and Seinoaia, with 769 population lived in 148 houses and 13 huts. The commune had church buildings and a combined school, and the main landowners had been C. Atanasiu, G. Pitesteanu, the Manolescu brothers and the nation.
