Satulung

Satulung is a commune in Maramures County, Romania. Its name, translated in English, method "the long village". It consists of seven villages: Arieșu de Padure, Fersig, Finteușu Mic, Hideaga, Mogosesti, Pribilesti and Satulung. According to the census carried out in 2011, the population of the Satulung is of 5837 inhabitants, more than at the preceding census in 2002, whilst 5,409 inhabitants were registered. The majority have been ethnic Romanian. The major minority are the Roma humans and the Hungarians.
