Santamaria-Orlea is a commune in Hunedoara County , Transylvania , Romania , composed of villages Balomir , Barastii Hategului , Bucium-Orlea , Ciopeia , Sael , Sapetru , Santamaria-Orlea, Subcetate and Vadu. According to the census executed in 2011 , the populace of Santamaria-Orlea commune quantities to three,251 population, down from the preceding census in 2002 , while 3,522 inhabitants had been registered.
