Salasu Upper is a commune in Hunedoara County , Transylvania , Romania , composed of villages Coroiesti , Malaiesti , Nutmeg , Ohaba under Stone , Parosh , Cave , River White , small river , Saas de Jos , Salasu de Sus and Zavoi. According to the census done in 2011 , the populace of Salasu de Sus commune quantities to two,359 population, down from the previous census of 2002 when there had been 2,782 population. Most of the population are Romanian. For 1.78 percentage of the population, ethnicity is unknown.
