About Sânmartin
Sanmartin is a commune in Harghita County, Romania. It lies in Szekely Land, an ethno-cultural location in eastern Transylvania. After the Treaty of Trianon of 1920, they became a part of Romania and fell within Ciuc County during the interwar period. In 1940, the second Vienna Award granted the Northern Transylvania to Hungary and the villages had been held via Hungary until 1944. After Soviet career, the Romanian management lower back and the commune became officially a part of Romania in 1947. Between 1952 and 1960, the commune fell within the Magyar Autonomous Region, between 1960 and 1968 the Mureș-Magyar Autonomous Region. In 1968, the province become abolished, and on account that then, the commune has been a part of Harghita County. The size of the arable land is 1,109 ha, of which 526 ha are cultivated with the aid of the agricultural corporation Burgabotek MT.
Pasture of an area of 474 ha belong to the commonages 'Csekefalva' and 'Aklós'. 1295 ha of reaper is owned through man or woman farmers.
