On the occasion of the archaeological excavations performed between 1957 to 1959, at the right bank of the Negru river, there has been determined a rich Neolithic settlement in the place referred to as "Telek". Three homes and two graves belonging to the Tisza tradition have been determined, archaeological materials belonging to the Boian, Cucuteni-Ariusd, Bodrogkeresytur, Cotofeni and Noua cultures, as well as vestiges from the Bronze Age and the first Iron Age. The Dacian age is also marked with the aid of the discovery of a Dacian dwelling of the La Tene technology, to which a Victory-Bucharest coin belongs. Also in this area were found Roman substances, a 4th century living representing the way of life of Santana de Mures-Cerneahov.
