Ratesti

Ratesti is a commune in Arges County, Muntenia, Romania, including the villages Ciupa-Manciulescu, Furduesti, Mavrodolu, Nejlovelu, Patuleni, Ratesti and Tigveni. At the stop of the 19th century, the commune become known as Ratesti-Furduesti, it became part of the Galasesti locality of Arges County, and had 1003 inhabitants within the villages of Furduesti, Patului, Sindrilitul, Raletul, Ratesti and Tigveni. 3 churches and a college functioned in the commune.

The Socec Yearbook of 1925 information it within the Dambovnic site of the equal county, with the modern call of Ratesti and a population of 1965 inhabitants inside the villages of Furduesti, Patulesti, Ratesti and Tigveni. In 1950, it become transferred to the Gaesti district and then to the Topoloveni rayon inside the Arges location. In 1968 he again to Arges County, re-set up. The commune is located at the eastern fringe of the county, on the border with Dambovita County, on the proper bank of the Arges River.
