About Panaci
Panaci is a commune in Suceava County, Moldova, Romania, together with the villages of Catrinari, Coverca, Dragoiasa, Glodu, Panaci and Paltinis. Panaci commune is located within the Dornelor Depression, at the contact between the mountain body made up of the Bistrita Mountains within the jap aspect with the forests that descend from the Calimani Mountains. Among them is a despair corridor created via the Calimanel River, which dug the valley along a fracture line setting apart the two formations.
According to the census accomplished in 2011, the population of Panaci commune amounts to 2,159 population, down from the preceding census in 2002 when 2,335 inhabitants were registered. The majority of the inhabitants are Romanian. For 1.44% of the populace, ethnicity isn't known. From the confessional point of view, the majority of the inhabitants are Orthodox. For 1,44% of the population, confessional club is unknown. Panaci commune is controlled by means of a mayor and a nearby council composed of 11 councilors. Mayor, Vasile Cozan from the Social Democratic Party, become elected in 1996.
