About Nufaru
Nufaru is a commune in Tulcea county , Dobrogea , Romania , along with Ilganii de Jos , Malcoci , Nufaru and Victoria villages . The antique name of the village Nufăru was Prislav, then Ada Marinescu until 1965. Here was the fort Pereiaslaveț / Preslaveț. Conquered in 968 via the varge Sveinald or Sviatoslav vareg in Russian, the Pereiaslaveț became for three years the capital of the Danube territories of Sveinald, the opposite territories close to the Dnieper being ceded to the sons. Ioan Tzimiskes, the emperor of the Eastern Roman Empire reoccupied the city in 971 and reintegrated it into the empire. Tzimiskes renamed the city as Teodoropol.
The ruins of the citadel are seen nowadays. The coat of palms of the commune Nufăru is composed of a triangular protect with rounded edges, break up and reduce. In the 1st district, on a golden history, there is a white water lily in natural hues, with inexperienced leaves. In the second one district, within the red field, are placed four ears, golden, tied inside the bunch.
