Mosoaia

Mosoaia is a commune in Arges county, Muntenia, Romania, along with the villages of Batrani, Ciocanai, Dealu Viilor, Hintsti, Lazaresti, Mosoaia and Smeura. At the cease of the 19th century, the commune changed into part of the Pitesti internet of Arges county and consisted of the villages of Belciu, Ciocanei, Curaturele, Dealu Lung, Mosoaia, Piscu Mosului and Cordesti, with a complete of 1859 population. There had been 3 churches and faculties inside the commune.

At that time, Hinesti-Zmeura commune functioned in the identical region at the modern territory of the commune. The Socec Yearbook of 1925 records the communes in Bascov internet of the equal county. The commune of Moşoaia had 1995 inhabitants in the villages of Belciu, Curaturile, Ciocanai, Lazaresti, Lunga Piscu Mosului and Tardesti, and Hintesti commune had 2405 population in the villages of Dasangasti, Dealu Viilor, Dumitresti, Gura Vaii, Hintesti, Smeura de Jos, Smeura Up and Surdesti. Hinesti commune become disbanded in 1931, its villages passing to Mosoaia commune. In 1950, Mosoaia commune changed into assigned to the Pitesti district of the Arges area. In 1968 he again to Arges County, re-set up.
