About Marga
Marga is a commune in Caras-Severin County, Banat, Romania, inclusive of the villages of Marga and Vama Marga. The union of 1700 reached Marga, which did now not get hold of it, so Marga was additionally a confessional parish parish between the Orthodox and the Greek Catholics of the Lower Lutheran parish. During the Revolution of 1848 the village became burned.
The village had a wood church, mentioned in 1757, while there were 50 homes, and in 1774, 180 homes. In 1782 the parish had clergymen and fillies. The Church of the Wall was built in 1830, with the customer saint of St. Prophet Elijah and having the scale of 22x10 m. Priests: Mihai Popovici, Stefan Simovici, Ioan Simovici 1795 to 1804, Andrei Grozav 1804 to 1823, Ioan Nedici 1830 to 1862, Gh. Ivanescu 1862 to 1899. On December 20, 1981 PS Timothy Lugojanul made an archdiocese visit to the parish. To the southeast of Caransebes, at the Bistra River valley, approximately midway among Caransebes and Hateg, lies the Marga parish. Bordering at the east with Lower Downhill, to the south with Maru Parish, to the west with Magura, Valea Bistrei and Voislova, and to the north with Rusca Montana.
