About Manastireni
The Monastery is a commune in Cluj County, Transylvania, Romania, including the villages of Ardeova, Bedeciu, Bica, Dretea, Manastireni and Manasturu Romanesc. The village of Manastireni turned into noted for the primary time in 1275 with the call Sacerdos de villa Monostor. Vestiges of the Dacian age have not been located thus far.
The few Roman stays preserved inside the Monastery are embedded inside the partitions of the old reformed church: it's miles about two sculpted funerary monks and a jellyfish head. A similar scenario may be discovered in Dretea; there, in the ruins of the antique church reformed and demolished in 1878, sculptural and epigraphic substances from the Roman age were diagnosed: a funerary lion, a alleviation sculpture depicting a human individual, a few small sculpted portions, diverse epigraphic fragments. By delimiting the territorial structures prepared on the valleys, the historic border lines of Transylvania, the Early Middle Ages, have been located at the water.
