About Magura
Magura is a commune within the Buzau County of Romania, positioned on the proper financial institution of the Buzau River, within the hillside subsequent to the Carpathian Mountains' curvature. It consists of villages, Ciuta and Magura. It additionally covered Ojasca and Unguriu villages from 1968 until 2004, whilst these had been split off to shape Unguriu Commune. In the close region of Magura, lies the Ciolanu Monastery, a Romanian Orthodox monastery built within the 16th century.
The Romanian Orthodox Church is an autocephalous Orthodox Church in full communion with different Eastern Orthodox Christian Churches, one of the 9 Patriarchates in the Eastern Orthodox Church. Since 1925, the Church's Primate bears the name of Patriarch. The Magura sculpture camp became an occasion that came about throughout the summers of the years 1970-1986, when students and graduates of the Bucharest Academy of Art were schooling in sculpture. Their works of art are actually visible on the meadows in front of the monastery, making up a large open-air art museum.
