About Maglavit
Maglavit is a commune in Dolj County, Romania. It is composed of villages, Hunia and Maglavit. In mid-1935, nearby Romanian Orthodox shepherd Petrache Lupu claimed to have seen and spoken with God. Over the following three years, some million pilgrims came to Maglavit, 10 million lei in donations have been raised and King Carol II ordered the development of a church on the web site of the said miracle.
