About Lupeni
Lupeni is a mining metropolis in the Jiu Valley in Hunedoara County, Romania, within the ancient location of Transylvania. It is one of the oldest and largest cities inside the Jiu Valley. The first information of human beings inhabiting this place date back to prehistorical instances, as evidenced by means of the discoveries made on the Straja-Lupeni hill cave, in which vintage pottery gadgets have been located. The city of Lupeni became first attested in 1770.
During the Middle Ages, the Jiu Valley was moderately populated, with the population dwelling in small villages, and shepherding being the primary hobby. Lupeni become fashioned because of the extreme migration of human beings coming from Valea Streiului and Țara Hațegului, who have been attracted via the wealthy pastures and hay fields of the vicinity. The citizens of the village of Valea Lupului are people who are believed to have based Lupeni. After 1840, the mining exploration and exploitation started to develop in the area, and principal financial and social modifications passed off.
