Lunca Banului

Lunca Banului is a commune in Vaslui county, Moldova, Romania, such as the villages of Broscosesti, Condrea, Focsa, Lunca Banului, Lunca Veche, Otetoaia and Raducani. The metropolis of Lunca Banului dates again over 400 years, the first houses being built after 1550. The call of the metropolis comes from the former boyar Luca Banu, on whose estate the commune is positioned nowadays. The boyar Luca Banu participated inside the conclusion of the friendship treaty in Iasi, between Peter I - the Tsar of Russia and Dimitrie Cantemir, the ruler of Moldova, before the battle from Stanilesti on Prut, in 1711.
