About Lueta
Lueta is a commune in Harghita County, Romania. The name of the commune turned into first recorded in 1332 while its priest become noted as "sacerdos de Lueche". In 1567, it was cited as Leowete. The name derives from the historic form of the Hungarian name Levente worn with the aid of several contributors of the Arpad dynasty.
The villages belonged to Udvarhelyszek district until the executive reform of Transylvania in 1876, when they fell within the Udvarhely County within the Kingdom of Hungary. After the Treaty of Trianon of 1920, they have become a part of Romania and fell inside Odorhei County during the interwar duration. In 1940, the second one Vienna Award granted Northern Transylvania to Hungary and the villages have been held by Hungary till 1944. After Soviet occupation, the Romanian administration back and the commune became formally a part of Romania in 1947. Between 1952 and 1960, the commune fell in the Magyar Autonomous Region, between 1960 and 1968 the Mures-Magyar Autonomous Region.
