Jirlau

Jirlau is a commune in Braila County , Muntenia , Romania , formed by using the villages of Bradeanca and Jirlau. At the cease of the nineteenth century, the commune became a part of Ramnicul de Jos internet of Râmnicu Sarat County and turned into fashioned only from the hamlet of house, with 1452 inhabitants. There was a church built in 1864 and a mixed nation school with 120 students, based in 1874. In 1925, the commune had its present day composition, and it was part of the city's Town of the same county, with 512 population.

In 1950, the commune became covered within the district of Faurei inside the Galati region , and in 1968 it was transferred to Braila County. The only goal in Jirlau commune is included inside the list of ancient monuments in Braila County as a monument of neighborhood interest is the statue of the heroes of the First World War, constructed in 1938 and located within the city corridor and college inside the village of Jirlau. It is classified as a memorial monument.
