Islaz

Islaz is a commune in Teleorman County , Oltenia , Romania , along with the villages of Islaz and Moldoveni . The Islaz commune is situated at the Danube , on the mouth of the Olt River, on its proper financial institution, at approx. 10 km west of Turnu Magurele . On the Danube there's the Ostrovul Mare Nature Reserve. The floor waters close to Islaz are the Danube, Olt and Saiul former Olt mattress, fed from the groundwater. The soil is partially of chernozem , partially alluvial inside the Olt river and at the Danube.

The plants comprising crops, grassland facet and the Danube River and water meadows and meadow plants. The first documentary attestation is July 9, 1569 .In Roman Dacia , at the vicinity of Islaz these days there is a rural agreement and a treasure of the Romanian republican denari . The agreement become the most southern factor of the defense line at the bank of the Olt - limut Alutanus - on which were casts and other protective elements.
