Humor Monastery placed in Manastirea Humorului, approximately 5 km north of the city of Gura Humorului, Romania. It is a monastery for nuns devoted to the Dormition of Virgin Mary, or Theotokos. It was built in 1530 with the aid of Voievod Petru Rares and his chancellor Teodor Bubuiog. The monastery became built over the foundation of a previous monastery that dated from round 1415. The Humor monastery changed into closed in 1786 and became now not reopened till 1990.
