Huedin

Huedin is a city in Cluj County, Romania. Huedin is positioned on the northern fringe of the Apuseni Mountains. It is surrounded by using the villages of Nearșova, Domoșu, Horlacea and others. The city administers one village, Bicalatu. Lately, Huedin has began to be known for its ecotourism initiatives. The metropolis of Huedin became founded within the Middle Ages. From 1330 up till 1848, the landlords of the town had been the Bánffy family.

The city became part of the Kingdom of Hungary. In 1526, Huedin became part of the Principality of Transylvania and, till 1867, of the Grand Duchy of Transylvania. The town boasts a sturdy ancient Hungarian heritage.
