About Havarna
Havrna is a commune in Botosani County, Moldova, Romania, inclusive of Balinti, Galbeni, Gârbeni, Havârna, Niculcea and TAtaraşeni. It has a complete region of 9565 ha. The name of the commune is given by using a brook that springs from a hill at 7-eight km from the village fire and has an intermittent route. The territory of the commune become inhabited seeing that Neolithic, being a part of the area of spreading the tradition of Cucuteni, strains of this culture being determined inside the villages of Havarna, Tătărăşeni and Balinţi, in locations along with Ţiganului Valley, Blezniuc, Ostrete or Bulgarie.
From the time of the Roman rule, gold coins have been located on the area known as the Stone Bridge in 1964 or the Bridge of Stephen, although it is thought that the Romans did no longer pass thru right here, however the population had ties to the Roman rule. They were deposited on the History Museum in Botosani. The production of a reservoir on the Podriga brook, however, swept away the old and mythical bridge.
