Grindu

Grindu is a commune in Ialomita County, Muntenia, Romania, fashioned only from the house of the same call. At the cease of the 19th century, the commune turned into part of the Field field of Ialomita County and had the villages Grindu and Grindasi, with a populace of 2883 population. Two churches and 3 faculties - one of the boys and one of the women in Grindu - and one mixed in Grindasi - functioned inside the commune with 139 students.

In 1925, the Socec Yearbook statistics the commune within the Urziceni site of the equal county, with 2559 inhabitants; Grindasi village separated and have become the house of an independent community. In 1950, the commune went to the Urziceni rayon management in the Ialomita region, then within the Ploiesti location and within the Bucharest vicinity. In 1968, the commune returned to Ialomita County, re-hooked up. In Grindu there's the Ascension Church, placed inside the former CAP and constructed among 1838 to 1842 through the excellent Ispas Fagarasanu, a constructing considered a historical monument of countrywide hobby architecture.
