About Grebanu
Grebanu is a commune in Buzau County , Muntenia , Romania , inclusive of the villages of Grebanu, Homesti , Livada , Livada Mica , Plevna and Zaplazi . At the end of the nineteenth century, the commune became part of Ramnicu de Sus net of Ramnicu Sarat county and was made of the hamlets Grebanu, Homesti, Herasti, Fantana Turcului and Zaplazi, with a complete of 2397 inhabitants. In the commune there has been a blended faculty with 104 students founded in 1876 through Mihai Negru, and 4 Orthodox church buildings.
On the contemporary territory of the commune was additionally Putreda village, Putreda Mica and Putreda Mare villages with 1022 inhabitants. In the village of Putreda there was a mixed college with sixty four college students and church buildings, one in all them dating returned to 1794, built by using Ioan Peticanu, and one dating again to 1892. Plevna village changed into then part of Zgarciti commune , of its population and there was a church and a school.
