Glodeanul Sarat

Glodeanu Sarat is a commune in Buzau County , Muntenia , Romania , together with the villages Caldarusanca , Glodeanu Sarat, Ileana and Pitulicea . The commune is located within the south-western extremity of this county, on the border with the counties of Prahova and Ialomita , within the Romanian Plain , in the valley of the Sarata River and is crossed via its western part by using the country wide avenue DN2 . Here, inside the village of Caldarusanca, the national road intersects with the county road DJ102H, which connects the commune of the town of Prahova Mizil to the northwest and Glodeanu-Silistea and the communes inside the northern Ialomita county, ending at Milosesti in DN2C .

Distance to county seat, Buzau, is 37 km. Other nearby towns are Mizil and Urziceni. At the end of the 19th century, the commune turned into reserved for the Tohani bills in Buzau County and consisted of the villages of Cufuritu, Florica and Glodeanu Sarat, with a population of 2830 inhabitants living in 636 homes. There had been four sheepfolds, 3 churches, and a mixed college with 125 college students.
