About Giulesti
Giulesti is a neighbourhood in northwestern Bucharest, positioned in Sector 6. The Giulesti Stadium, Giulesti Theatre, Podul Grant are located in Giulesti. Also, the Grivita Railway Yards and Lacul Morii are positioned nearby. The location turned into inhabited for millennia and it offers its call to the neolithic Giulesti-Boian way of life, the middle phase of the Boian subculture, which inhabited in the 4th millennium BC Muntenia and later increased into southern Moldavia and southern Transylvania.
In the Middle Ages it became a village, later included into Chiajna Commune, and absorbed into Bucharest in 1939. In the early 1960s a number of 4 storey condo buildings were raised inside the era, to start with named because the Constructorilor housing property. A few years afterward the Giulesti avenue within the mid 1960s 8 storey condominium buildings have been raised, along side the Prunaru market next to the stadium. It wasn't till the 1980s whilst mass demolition began, replacing old houses with standardised condominium blocks. Nowadays only a few homes stay status because the community is ruled by way of these condo homes.
