Girov

Girov is a commune in Neamt County, Moldova, Romania, formed by using the villages of Botesti, Caciulesti, Danesti, Doina, Girov, Gura Vaii, Popesti, Turturesti and Versesti. At the quit of the 19th century, the commune become a part of the Piatra-Muntele Neamt County and it consisted of the villages Girov, Contesti, Botesti, Doina, Danesti, Balma and Jidesti, with a total of 1903 inhabitants dwelling in 495 homes.

In the commune there have been seven water turbines, 4 church buildings and faculties. At that time, the commune of Caciulesti, with the villages Caciulesti, Gura Vaii, Popesti, Turturesti and Versesti, with a total population of 1243 population, additionally operated at the equal territory of the commune.
