About Giarmata
Giarmata is the village of residence of the commune of the same call in Timis county, Banat, Romania. During the duration of formation of the Romanian humans, at the territory of the commune the native Daco-Roman population persisted to stay in the shape of a village priest, and at the beginning of feudalism there was even a quite robust voivodship, recorded inside the few narrative sources of the time. Thus, on the event of the wonderful invasion of 1241, the voivodship of Giarmata is cited.
The locality is documented inside the papal records of tithes, from 1332 to 11335, under the call of Zamor, Gormat or Garmad. In 1407 is referred to the estate Giarmata, that's donated to the voivode Nicolae, the son of Thomas and administered by using the voivode Ioan. After 1500 Giarmata turns into the middle of a voivodship of the 2 documents recorded in Timis County. In 1552, the Giarmata got here under Ottoman rule, being a part of the Timisoara agreement until 1716, whilst the Ottoman rule became eliminated and the Giarmata become annexed to the Habsburg Empire.
