About Gheraseni
Gheraseni is a commune in Buzau County , Muntenia , Romania , together with the villages of Gheraseni and Suditi. The first village of the commune was known as Cremenea; next to it settled 1812 population from Rotunda-Brădeanu, forming the village to begin with called Rotunzeni and renamed Gheraseni after the estate that became sold by way of Ioan Emanuel Gherase. After that, Suditi village, inhabited by using immigrants from Transylvania , changed into liberated.
At the end of the 19th century, the commune belonged to the Buzau County subject subject, together with the villages of Balaia, Cremenea, Gheraseni and Suditi, with a population of 2220 population, living in 426 homes. There turned into a sheepfold, a steam mill, a faculty with 106 scholars and a church built in 1840 via Ioan Emanuel Gherase. In 1925, the commune is registered in the locality Glodeanurile within the same county, comprising the villages of Cremenea, Gheraseni and Suditi, and the hamlets Balaia and Brebeanca, with a complete population of 2789 inhabitants.
