Garbovi

Garbovi is a commune in Ialomita County, Muntenia, Romania, shaped only from the village of house of the equal name. At the give up of the nineteenth century, the commune turned into a part of the Ialomita County Field subject and consisted of the villages of Garbovi and Bozianca, with a population of 2659 inhabitants. There became a church and 3 schools inside the commune - one jumbled together Bozianca, one in all boys and one ladies in Garbovi, with a complete of 110 scholars of which 25 ladies.

In 1925, the Socec Yearbook records the commune with the villages of Garbovi and Ciocarlia within the Urziceni locality of the equal county and having a population of 3885. The commune is placed inside the north-west of the county, at the border with Buzau County. It is crossed by using the county road DJ203B, which connects it south of Manasia wherein it results in DN2A and east of Valea Macrisului and Grindu. At Garbovi, the county road DJ203I, which ends up in the northeast in Buzau county at Glodeanu-Silista, Scutelnici, Pogoanele, Luciu and Cilibia, is branched out from this street.
