Gaiceana

Gaiceana is a commune in Bacau County , Moldova , Romania , including the villages of Arini , Gaiceana, Hutu and Popesti . At the cease of the 19th century, the commune changed into the house of Berheci in Tecuci county and it consisted of the villages Gaiceana, Ghilovesti, Hutu, Lunca, Marginea, Petroasa, Popesti, Recea, Ungureni, Valea Morii and Zlatareasa, with 2110 population. There were 5 church buildings and faculties inside the commune - one in Gaiceana and one in Huţu, with seventy eight scholars. In 1925, the Socec Yearbook information it as the house of Gaiceana, having the same composition and population of 2773 population.

The neighborhood management law of 1931 records the following villages: Ghilavesti, Gura Zlataresei, Huţu, Lunca, Marginea, Petroasa, Popesti, Recea, Târgu Găiceana, Unguri, Valea Morii and Zlătăreasa. In 1950, the commune handed into the Rachitaasa district of the Barlad vicinity and then the Adjud district of Bacau . In 1968 he was transferred to Bacau County . At the identical time, the village of Targu Gaiceana became named Găiceana and the villages Lunca, Marginea, Petroasa and Recea, Valea Morii and Zlatareasa have been dismantled; and the village of Unguri become named Arini.
