Fortress of Deva

It is a stronghold situated in the city of Deva, Hunedoara County, Romania, over a volcanic hill. Is the fortification situated on a wall of lava in the Poiana Rusc, Mountain Range inside the Western Carpathian Mountains of Romania.

From the foot of the slope, the city of Deva spreads out, start with Magna Curia and general society stop. Adjacent are the lower funicular station, which travelers use to achieve the fortification, and the majority of the structures of the regulatory organizations of the city: the Court House, the Finance Administration, the old police central command, the City Hall and two of the most seasoned schools in Deva: the Decebal National College and the Pedagogic Lyceum.
