About Dor Marunt
Dor Marunt is a commune in Calarasi County, Muntenia, Romania, which include the villages Dālga, Dalga-Gara, Dor Marunt, Twinning, Ogoru and Pelinu. At the cease of the 19th century, the commune was part of the Ialomiţa-Balta web site of Ialomiţa County and consisted of the villages Dor Marunt, Sighireanu, Grindu Petrei, Pelinu, Minea and Draghiceasca, with 1313 population. There turned into a church and two faculties inside the commune: 1 girls, 17 ladies, and one boys, with 33 college students.
The Socec Yearbook of 1925 information the village of Lehliu within the identical county with 2224 population in Dor Marunt, Pelinu, Rainicu and Sighireanu. The village of Sighireanu turned into renamed in 1931, the Lady of Mary. In 1950, the commune was assigned to the Lehliu district of the Ialomita area after which within the Bucharest region, the village of Domniţa Maria taking the name of the Twinning in the context of the established order of the communist regime. The village Rainicu changed into additionally renamed in Ogoru in 1964. In 1968 he again to Ialomita County, re-established. In 1981, a regional administrative reorganization caused the transfer of the commune in Calarasi County.
