About Ditrau
Ditrau is a commune in Harghita County, Romania.The villages belonged first to the Szekely seat of Gyergyoszek, which changed into finally absorbed into Csikszek, until the executive reform of Transylvania in 1876, after they fell within the Csik County within the Kingdom of Hungary. After the Treaty of Trianon of 1920, they have become part of Romania and fell within Ciuc County at some stage in the interwar duration.
In 1940, the second one Vienna Award granted the Northern Transylvania to Hungary and the villages had been held via Hungary till 1944. After Soviet profession, the Romanian administration back and the commune became formally a part of Romania in 1947. Between 1952 and 1960, the commune fell within the Hungarian Autonomous Province, between 1960 and 1968 the Mures-Hungarian Autonomous Province. In 1968, the province turned into abolished, and given that then, the commune has been part of Harghita County. Once upon a time, the village became regarded for its mining pastime - the ditroit, a marble-like sodalite stone utilized in creation.
