About Curcani
Turcani is a commune in Calarasi County, Muntenia, Romania, including the villages Curcani and Salcioara. The first documentary mention is on 24 September to 6 October 1878 when Prince Carol I went with the Minister of War to Mitreni-Fundeni where a new commune become hooked up on a kingdom area and 800 younger peasants have been given land below a regulation vintage church in 1864.
On this event, he baptized the new commune called Curcani of his effective courageous guys who changed this nickname right into a name of honor.
