Costisa is a commune in Neamt county, Moldova, Romania, which include the villages Costisa, Dornesti, Frunzeni and Manoaia. At the stop of the 19th century, the commune become a part of the Bistrita community of Neamt county and changed into made from the villages Costisa, Ciolpanu, Mocani, Orbicu, Sberestii de Jos, Sberestii de Sus and Manoaia, with a total of 1737 population. There were 8 water mills in the commune, summons, 3 churches, and a school.
The Socec Yearbook of 1925 information it in the equal internet, having 2,850 inhabitants inside the villages of Costisa, Manioaia, Orbicu and Srebresti and inside the hamlets Ciolpanu and Mocani. In 1931, the commune was composed of the villages of Costisa, Dornesti, Manioaia and Serbesti, the village of Orbic passing to the metropolis of Buhusi. The commune is positioned inside the southern extremity of the county, on the border with Bacau County, at the left financial institution of Bistrita. It is crossed by the country wide road DN15, which connects Piatra Neamt to Bacau. From this avenue, the county road DJ159C branches to Costisa, which leads east to Candesti.
