Corbasca

Corbasca is a commune in Bacau County , Moldova , Romania , along with the villages Bacioiu , Corbasca , Marvila , Pogleţ , Rogoza, Scarisoara and Valcele. At the stop of the nineteenth century, the commune become a part of the Berheci vicinity of Tecuci County and consisted of the villages of Bacioiu, Corbasca, Fofaza, Marvila, Pogleţu, Porcareţu, Rogoza and Scarisoara, with a total populace of 2223 population. There have been forty seven children inside the commune opened in 1870 and 4 churches.

The Socec Yearbook of 1925 records it in Gaiceana net of the same county, having 3200 inhabitants inside the equal villages. In 1950, the commune become assigned to the Rachitaasa rayon in the Barlad location , then Adjud district within the Bacau place , the village of Porcareţu being named Valcelele in 1964. In 1968 the commune changed into transferred to Bacau County , disbanded the village of Fofaza.
