Comarnic

Comarnic is a city in Prahova County , Muntenia , Romania , together with Comarnic house, Ghiosesti , Podu Lung , Poiana and Posada . It is located in the contact place of Prahova Subcarpathians with the southern extensions of the Baiu Mountains, prolonged to the meadow and the routes on the left of the Prahova River , at 500-580 m altitude, fifty two km northwest of the city of Ploiesti. At the end of the nineteenth century, Comarnic turned into a rural commune consisting of 9 hamlets: Comarnic Vatra Satului, Poiana, Ghiosesti, Varţos Bridge, Negru Bridge, Posada, Long Bridge, Corbului Bridge and Secaria, totaling 4365 population, and positioned in the Pelesul Plain in Prahova County. He had a blended college in 1865, in 1892 coaching 161 kids two church buildings one in Comarnic, constructed with the aid of the Bibescu circle of relatives in 1815, and one within the Black Bridge built by means of the logographer Parvul Cantacuzino and his father in 1661.
