Cizer

Cizer is the village of residence of the commune of the equal name inside the county of Salaj, Transylvania, Romania. The Cizar is one of the oldest settlements of Salaj, documented on the grounds that 1219. The village borders from 1968 and the settlement of Boianu Crasnei. The faraway beyond of the village of Cizer is documented through numerous nearby and local historians. Petri Mor made within the Salaj County Monograph of 1901 a first evaluate of the acknowledged historic information about the village.

Dionisie Stoica and Ioan P. Lazar posted a new Monograph of Salaj in 1908, from a Romanian perspective, in which some facts and photographs about Cizer seem. After the battle the historian Paul Abrudan is stated, who wrote in 1963 a first and regular monograph of Cizer commune. In the same year, there regarded research dedicated to the treasured timber church in Cizer. Since then, new, disparate but massive records has emerged in massive-scale works. We word particularly the work of Ioan Augustin Goia, which delineates and monographically treats the ethnographic area Meses, wherein the Cizerul is covered. Nicolae Breje and Petru Galis, sons of the village, approached the most latest history of those lands within the context of some nearby monographic works.3
