Ciucsangeorgiu

Ciucsangeorgiu is the village of the commune with the equal name in Harghita County, Transylvania, Romania. It is located inside the south-eastern a part of the county, within the Ciuc Depression. Ciucsangeorgiu is located on the foot of the Ciuc Mountains, inside the south-japanese part of Harghita County, at the Fiesag Valley, at a distance of 22 km. Through the municipality of Miercurea Ciuc, on the county street 123C Armaseni - Ciucsangeorgiu - DN12.

The archaeological excavations remodeled the territory of this settlement have yielded cloth evidence of a dwelling because the earliest times, so in the middle of the village, between the Martanos and Fissag streams, ceramic fragments belonging to Ariusd early-phase cultures and Boian section Giulesti. On the financial institution of the Fissag brook there was determined a elegant stone ax, a cup and numerous fragments of Dacian ceramics. From unspecified locations there are stays of the Cris and Ariusd-Cucuteni cultures, a stone ax attributed to the Cotofeni tradition, a bronze ax with a bronze age and a barbarian coin treasure.
